“Celestino literally took to the streets with her modern re-imagining of Milan’s historic trams: a fantastical travelling salon in a streetcar from the 1920s. “
– Leigh Robertson, Elle Decoration South Africa
For the Milano Design Week 2018, Cristina Celestino reinterpreted the classic streetcars of the city, creating an ideal “Cinema Corallo”: a project inspired by the theme of the journey, as an experience with dreamy and surreal overtones, that the designer carries within a d’antan cinema set up. Through a project of totally tailor-made interior design, the environment reflected the designer’s aesthetics, where precious materials and references to the past, contemporary intuitions and a visionary mind are harmoniously combined.
As part of our long-term collaboration with Cristina, we worked to ensure a high visibility to Corallo within the international press, leading it to become one of the most popular and appreciated projects of the Milano Design Week.
