The brand presents a renewed visual identity for the brand coming after a strategic plan developed by Simple Flair and translated visually by Giga Design Studio and its first permanent location in Milan inside BasicVillage, designed by the architect Davide Fabio Colaci.

The New Wave of Design Companies

CONVEY lands at the BasicVillage, in Milan’s Farini neighbourhood. A selection of design companies will communicate their values through new products, installations, and other activities aimed at the reference community. It was born from a desire to create a system connecting contemporary brands and reference players to accelerate their growth. Based on the promotion of shared values, its objective is to contribute to the construction of a new international design scenario.

Blending Habitats

Dante Negro has been working with metal and transforming it into furniture since 1964. At Design Week, the company presents products and outdoor collections, the result of Margherita Rui’s new artistic direction. On display are new elements of Dolmen by Margherita Rui and the new Type collections by Stormo Studio and Bambusae by Zanellato Bortotto. The three proposals are part of Blending Habitats, a concept that brings the living experience outdoors.

ASSAB ONE DESIGN FOR COMMUNITIES

Giacomo Moor x LiveinSlums

Assab One hosts “Design for Communities”, an exhibit showcasing the pieces design by Giacomo Moor for LiveinSlums’ school in one of the largest slums of Nairobi. To create an immersive experience, curator Davide Fabio Colaci and Federica Sala have design an installation where Moor’s pieces merge together with the pictures by Francesco Giusti, Filippo Romano, Mattia Zoppellaro and Alessandro Treves from Perimetro.

Saïto, George’s Precious Collection

Georges presents an extraordinary collection of art and craft pieces inspired by the works of Japanese painter and engraver Kiyoshi Saito, characterised by natural colours and materials such as sandstone, aluminium, Italian wool and Lyon silk. The exhibition will take place in a setting designed around four ‘paintings’ where the symbolic objects of the collection will be arranged according to an immersive olfactory and musical itinerary.

New Wallpaper Collection

On Milan Design Week 2023, La DoubleJ presents a tease of its first wallpaper collection. The “bagni” of famous Milanese spaces such as Pasticceria Cucchi, Pasticceria Cova, Giacomo Bistrot, Apophis Club, Fioraio Bianchi Café, Vasiliki Kouzina, LDJ Store and Trattoria Torre di Pisa will be entirely made over in the brand’s most iconic and adored prints.
